Also, Amy J will be teaching this Saturday. I will be attending the Northland Arboretum’s Sour Grapes run. Thank you Amy!

consistency

–noun, plural -cies.

1. a degree of density, firmness, viscosity, etc.
2. steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.
3. agreement, harmony, or compatibility, esp. correspondence or uniformity among the parts of a complex thing
4. the condition of cohering or holding together and retaining form; solidity or firmness.

This word sums up what is so necessary in the yoga practice.

We are an ever-changing, ever-adapting body, mind and spirit. Choose everyday consistency.

Come to class, and challenge the head that seeks lethargy, distraction, and poor living.

Focus on tomorrow, chances are you’ll still be here, and allow your consistency to facilitate the change you seek.

Consistency is what creates long term change. Effort moves us in the direction we seek to travel.

Find the principle to be who you are. Life is happening in the present.

Namaste

by Matthew Rohr

Namaste Meaning and Definition

I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells, I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Integrity, of Wisdom and of Peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are One.

Hatha Meaning and Definition

Yoga means to yoke, or to join two things together, hence hatha yoga is meant to join together sun (masculine, active) energy with the moon (feminine, receptive) energy, thus producing balance and greater power in an individual.
